The Journal

1st of December 2025

----

First off, to be entirely blunt, the year has continued to be quite bad. Good things have happened, don't get me wrong! The boyf did indeed visit and it was a wonderful time, I'm still trundling along with university and I'm a decent ways into my third and final year now, and I'm still alive. So overall? A win, I guess.

I actually can't get into a few of the reasons this year has been poor, especially as of late, so I apologise for that, but it's in ways that are long reaching, exhausting and just very distracting in terms of trying to get anything at all done, let alone anything personal and for fun. I'm not drawing a whole lot outside of trying to push towards deadlines in uni and I've just kind of not posted anything at all for the entirety of November. I'm hoping to fix that in December, and if not, January. I have Christmas gifts to purchase, things I promised to work on to complete, and just a lot of putting the pieces back together to do. It's going to be a strange Christmas but you always have to make the most of it.

As far as the site goes, I can't promise anything, as usual. It's not that I don't want to work on it as much as it's just so low down the list of things I need to work on that it often gets completely neglected. I have a lot of random things half-finished and a lot of ideas floating around and I would like to get back to it. University work should be entirely done by around May of next year and the worst of it (my dissertation!) will be complete in February, so I will have more spare time sooner rather than later.

In more positive news, I am now regularly taking CBD to help regulate my anxiety, and it's been really helpful. There is no way I would've been able to write my dissertation draft as quickly as I did without it, and maybe that'll ring true of anything else I decide to write going forward. I am a chronic overthinker and I am known to just sit there rewriting the same sentence over and over until I go spare.

I'm not sure what else to put here, so I guess I just wanted to make this post to say 'Hey there, I'm still alive :)'.

Hope everyone is looking forward to the festive season, or at least to a comfortable Winter break!
